The Artist

The poem follows my exploration into perception, the interacting of the senses and the world around us and that how each of perceives the world is reality for us. In a way we are all artists, each creating our own version of reality. As an artist we attempt to express how we see the world in order to all others an opportunity to understand what our perceptions and understandings are.

Reality is individual to each of us, we cannot wholly see the world as others do and must be open to the vision of others. When our work as artists resonates with others it may mean that there is an overlap in how they interpret the world with our own interpretations.

Making time to explore our own creations, whatever form they may take, helps us to understand ourselves, and may well reveal the reality behind the illusion of our senses.
