My newest collection of images, "Does Electricity Make Us Angels", consists of cityscapes of Chicago originally taken a few years ago which I have recently revisited. Looking at "We Cannot Stop The Sun from Setting" I was struck by the beauty of nature in the sky as the sun sets and the contrast it had with the city beneath. The skyscrapers reach for the sun and like some uncontrolled growth the city reaches to the horizon. As humans we think that we are all powerful but we cannot stop the Sun from setting and so we turn to electricity to lighten the dark of night.
Looking at the light produced I started to see new patterns and new colour just out of reach of our senses, which I have interpreted in this collection.
